What is data, what is written
Scores, scorecards, commentary, points tables, schedules, squads and player statistics are data from a licensed feed, rendered as-is. The match summary paragraph on finished matches and the biography lines on player pages are produced by fixed templates from that data. None of this is written by a person or an AI model.
AI match previews
Match previews are generated by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) from a brief assembled by Cric First: the fixture, venue and pitch history, recent form, head-to-head record, the announced playing XIs and the toss. The model may also consult public web sources for team news; those sources are listed on the preview. A second pass is generated at the innings break for the chase.
- Every preview is labelled “AI-generated” with the time it was produced and last updated.
- Previews are generated only for matches with enough data (confirmed XIs or toss, venue history); minor fixtures without data get no preview rather than a generic one.
- Facts in a preview are checked against the live data at render time; a preview whose stated XIs or toss no longer match the feed is withdrawn until regenerated.
- Previews describe likely outcomes and key factors. They are not betting advice and never link to odds.
- After the match, the preview stays online with the result alongside it so readers can judge it.
Bylines
AI previews carry the byline “Cric First AI”. Articles written by people carry the author's name. No content is attributed to a fictitious person.
Corrections
Report errors to [email protected] with the page link. Data errors are corrected at source and refresh automatically; a corrected preview or article shows a “Corrected” note with the date.
